Cosmicport Signs MoU with Spacelabs

Cosmicport has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Spacelabs, strengthening collaboration in trajectory planning, mission design and Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems. The partnership brings together Spacelabs’ technical expertise and Cosmicport’s space technology development efforts, with a focus on capabilities required for precision launch and space missions.

Collaboration on Mission Design and Trajectory Planning

The collaboration focuses on key areas of space mission development, including trajectory planning and mission design. These disciplines are important for defining how a mission is planned and how a launch vehicle follows the required trajectory to achieve its mission objectives.

Through the MoU, Cosmicport and Spacelabs will combine their respective expertise in these areas as part of their broader technical collaboration.

Guidance, Navigation and Control Systems

Guidance, Navigation and Control systems are another focus area of the collaboration. GNC systems play an important role in determining a vehicle’s position and motion and supporting its guidance through different phases of a mission.

The partnership will bring Spacelabs’ technical expertise in this domain together with Cosmicport’s ongoing space technology development activities.

Strengthening Space Mission Development

The partnership was initiated in the presence of Liwaans Amuthan, Naveen TS Velayudham, Mrs. Sheela D S and Mr. Debadatta Mishra. The MoU represents a collaborative approach to advancing capabilities related to mission planning, trajectory development and GNC systems.

By working together across these technical areas, Spacelabs and Cosmicport aim to support continued development in precision launch and space mission technologies.
