Cosmicport, a space technology startup, is building a launch vehicle tailored for small and medium-range satellites, in addition to advancing Earth Observation Satellites (EOS) designed for Sun-Synchronous Orbits (SSO) to serve commercial entities. Our cost-effective reusable launch vehicle provides precise and dependable launch solutions, facilitating the establishment of constellation platforms. The role offered involves solar panel sizing, power generation, and battery sizing for satellites. The incumbent will be an integral part of the Research and Development (R&D) Satellite team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze the power requirements of various satellite subsystems
- Work on solar panel design process
- Simulate and validate the design of electrical power systems of the satellite
- Involve in battery selection and sizing
Basic Qualification:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical and Engineering, or any other relevant discipline
Preferred Skills:
- Have a basic understanding of satellite subsystems
- Knowledge of Orbital Mechanics
- Interest in Spacecraft System Engineering
- Experience in engineering simulation software such as Matlab/ Simulink, Labview, etc.
- Experience in general programming software such as Python, C, etc.
- Experience in circuit design and analysis software like LTSpice, Proteus, etc.
Compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis with consideration of knowledge, skills, education, and experience. You may be eligible for annual bonuses. Insurance coverages and retirement plans are being worked upon and will be disclosed after hire.
