Cosmicport has kicked off the New Year and Pongal celebrations with a major breakthrough—a successful hot fire test of our sub-scaled Methalox propulsion system, marking a critical step toward India’s first green and reusable small satellite launch vehicle. Conducted at our R&D facility, this test validates key combustion parameters, engine stability, and performance metrics, bringing us closer to full-scale engine development and future flight testing. Cosmicport Explores New Horizons in the Netherlands

Cosmicport, led by Founder & CEO Liwaans Amuthan, participated in the Innovation Mission on Space in the Netherlands, strengthening ties between the Indian and Dutch space sectors. During the visit, Cosmicport explored SAR technology partnerships, satellite component suppliers, and cutting-edge innovations like laser satcom. Engaging with ISRO experts, Airbus, ESTEC, and TU Delft, the team gained insights to advance SAR microsatellite development and global launch capabilities. This mission marks a key step in Cosmicport’s international expansion, fostering collaborations that will accelerate its impact on Earth observation and space technology.

Cosmicport participated in the AWS Spacetech Accelerator Graduation Day at T-Hub, Hyderabad, joining 24 leading space startups to showcase innovation and forge industry connections.

Highlighted by T-Hub CEO MSR for its presence at India Space Congress and New Mexico collaborations, Cosmicport pitched its small satellite launch and SAR microsatellite vision to investors and industry leaders.

Cosmicport at the India Space Congress

Cosmicport participated in the India Space Congress 2024, where Founder & CEO Liwaans Amuthan spoke on a panel alongside leaders from Agnikul and EtherealX, emphasizing Thoothukudi’s role as a future space hub and its proximity to Kulasekharapatnam Spaceport.

Liwaans highlighted Cosmicport’s vision for sustainable space access, focusing on Methalox propulsion, reusable launch vehicles, and SAR satellite solutions for applications like maritime monitoring and infrastructure planning.

Cosmicport Signs MoU with Spacelabs

Cosmicport has signed an MoU with Spacelabs, strengthening collaboration in trajectory planning, mission design, and GNC systems. The agreement was formalized in the presence of Liwaans Amuthan, Naveen TS Velayudham, Mrs. Sheela D S, and Mr. Debadatta Mishra, who initiated the partnership.

This collaboration merges Spacelabs’ technical expertise with Cosmicport’s innovative approach, paving the way for advancements in precision launches and space mission development.

Cosmicport at Global Investors Meet 2024

Cosmicport formalized its commitment to Tamil Nadu’s space and defense sector at the Global Investors Meet (GIM) 2024 in Chennai, with an MoU signed with the Tamil Nadu government for a ₹200 Cr investment.

During the District Investment Conclave on November 30, 2023, MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi presented the executed MoU to Cosmicport’s representatives. As part of this commitment, Cosmicport is constructing its headquarters in Thoothukudi, with an initial 15,000 sq. ft. R&D facility on 1.4 acres, set to expand between 2025-2026.
